How To Make A Digital 3D Drill Gauge

In metal tech, we have been tasked on how to create a 3D drill gauge using tinkercad, so today I will be teaching you how to create a 3D drill gauge using Tinkercad.

How to create a shape. To create a shape, there should be a box on the right side of your screen and inside of the box would have different shapes, and click the shape that you want to use.

So now you should have this on your screen.

Now that you have a shape, you would want to put holes on the shape that you have chosen, and to do that, look at the box where the shapes were and pick the shape that is a cylinder and pick the one that doesn't have a color. If you are confused, pick the cylinder that looks like this.
Once you've done that, put the shape on the work plane and make the holes the right size that you need. The sizes of the holes on my drill gauge are 3,4,5,5.5,6,6.8,8,10. After doing the holes, your work should look like this.
Before you make the cylinders an actual hole, you need to highlight the whole shape and also highlight the cylinders in it. After you've done that, it should look like this.

After doing that there is a button on the right top corner that looks like an arrow. This is what the button looks like just in case if you are confused.
After finding that button, you would want to highlight your work before clicking the group button so that it groups the whole thing together. After doing that, your work should look like this.

If you want to put your name on it, on the same box where you found the shape at the start, there is a shape that says " TEXT " and you want to click that. After clicking that, your screen should look like this.

Click the text button. After clicking the text button,  A box should pop up on the right side of the screen like this.

The search bar that says " Text " on the box, write your name on the search bar and then the " TEXT " shape should change to your name like this.

After that you want to move the text that says your name to the shape, and make sure it is big enough to fit inside the shape and also do not overlap the grey cylinders and the text that says your name. After doing that it should look like this.
After doing that, you want to make the text says your name to become a hole. Do the same process how you created the grey cylinders to become a hole. So first you need to highlight the whole work, Second you want to click on the text that says your name and change it to a hole. To do that click this.

then click the group button on the top right where I showed you before. After doing that your work should look like this.

And that is your finished 3D drill gauge.

After 3D printing it, your work should look like this.
