Introduction to Connections

  1. How does viewing this text through a child’s perspective change the way we experience it? Explain using an example from the text. Looking through a child's eyes are pure and innocent. This is because they have not experienced anything major and seen things as much as adults.

2. How would this text be different if it were told from the perspective of an adult? How would the audience’s experience be different? If Jojo Rabbit was filmed from the perspective of an adult, it would be darker. This is because adults have to go through more things than kids and have a lot of responsibilities.

3. Why did the filmmaker or author decide to tell this story from a child’s perspective? How are children represented in the text? This is to make the film more child friendly. This was done so that the audience can see the opposite

4. How are adults represented in the text? Adults were represented as a soldier for Hitler and believers as well.

5. Does imagination help the young hero to cope? How so? Provide an example. Jojo's version of Hitler in his head messes him up. This is because Adolf suggests bad ideas towards Jojo. We can see this when Jojo found about the jew living inside his walls.
