What do these images suggest?
In the salvation army picture, They suggest that you should help people that are in poverty and that is also in need of help. The color theme of the picture was a side that has lights and the other side doesn't.  This shows us the side that has lights can afford bills and food and the dark side can't afford to pay the bills for the light and cant also pay for food. They did this to make you feel sorry and also to get you to give money and to also donate your belongings that you do not use anymore.

What is the text about? How do we know? What the text is about is Salvation army talking about helping kiwis for the past 137 years helping 120,000 individuals every year and they are also suggesting people help them so that they can continue supporting kiwis that require help.

Why has the author constructed the characters this way? The girl is dressed up with warm clothes to show that her family cannot afford heaters and she uses a sleeping bag to sleep in.
