Social Studies

What are we learning about?

We are learning about named Iqbal and who was forced to work to pay off his family's debt.

What is the most interesting thing you have learned?

The most interesting thing about what I've learned was Iqbal literally got forced to work at a carpet factory for three years and he's only 10 years old.

Explain what your work is and how it links to the topic?

My work is about the story of Iqbal and I have explained the start pretty good.

This is my Writing

Iqbal was a Pakistani boy who had to work as a carpet maker to pay his family’s debt. He was forced to work because his parents borrowed money from a money lender and sadly they couldn’t pay the lender in time, so the lender chose Iqbal to work and pay off his family’s debt. A debt slave is a worker who is forced to work until they have paid off their family’s debt. He had to pick a job and that is a carpet maker or a brick maker. Iqbal picked carpet maker because he knew that he had fast hands and he thought that this was the right job for him.
