Vegetarian Sushi

Last Friday we made vegetarian sushi which was yum. Me and my team mates had a rough start but after a few minutes of focusing, we decided to do our own tasks which was to grab the ingredients we needed. So we got 4 nori seaweed sheets, 1 small avocado, 1 small cucumber, 1 cup of carrot shreds, 2 cups of sushi rice, 2 cups of water and bamboo rolling mats. 

What did we do well?

Even though we had a rough start, me and my team mates worked perfectly together and helped each other when we needed it. What we also did well on is our measurements were pretty good and we rolled our sushi pretty good too.

Teamwork aspects-
I think that my group did well and we all contributed and worked together as a group and we all had specific jobs to do which made it faster. We had a rough start but at the end we worked as a group and we also communicated well and at the end our fish and chips turned out great.


Outcome
The outcome of our fish and chips were good and my team liked it. The fish was salty which is the part I liked and the chips were also salty and I enjoyed it because we also added tomato sauce and pepper which made it better and tastier.

Sports and Drugs

Should drugs be allowed in sports?

I think that this topic is very interesting because this has been an issue in sports. Sports is a game where
everyone strives to be at the top whether it is played with a team or not. Sports is a great chance to show
your athletic abilities and compete whether
it is competitive or not everyone still tries to be at the top and using drugs such as PED ( also know as
Performance Enhancement Drugs) will be unfair and using drugs will not show sportsmanship and
winning as a cheater.

What are PED's: It is defined as any substance taken in non-pharmacologic doses specifically for purposes of improving sports performance. The more common ones that you hear of are anabolic steroids, testosterone, human growth hormone, creatine, and ephedrine.

They use PED's which is a Performance Enhancement Drug. The PED they use the most is steroids. What are steroids? Steroids is a substance that can help you build muscle faster and can also help reduce body fat. Steroids are used by athletes and bodybuilders. Why do they use it? They use steroids because it is a faster way to gain muscle and using steroids can also reduce body fat which means they can eat a lot while also gain a lot of muscle at the same time but the problem is that, when they get caught using steroids in a competition, they can be disqualified and be banned for a whole year or two but taking steroid without knowing the side effects can be a big risk because you don't know what happens inside your body and your organs might have a malfunction due to the unknown side effects of steroids.

Therefore, I am against this idea because it is bad for athletes to use drugs because this can affect their health. The other reason is that they are role models. Role models are supposed to show their fans the right thing to do and them taking drugs will just ruin their sports career, not just by their fans and also risking their health.

- Team Works Aspect
At the beginning, everyone in my group worked very well. At the start we kind of struggled because everyone was kind of confused and one of our team mate wasn't helping us. But when we started to get used to it, we started to work well and worked as a team. As soon as the teacher finished explaining, the three of us had our own task to do and grab the ingredients we need.

Outcome/ Feedback
- The teachers said they were very good but they said that if they were more flavor it would make it better.
- We gave some to the teachers and one said that it reminded him of his mum baking the cookies.


Next Steps
I need to start using my initiative and help more and don't go too hard when mixing things such as flour and milk. I also need to work on measuring things such as milk and flour.
